Karen 
        I became a fan of massage therapy more than 10 years ago when I began receiving regular work for chronic headaches and shoulder pain. Massage therapy truly helped me cope with my then-hectic life. When I left the corporate world, I wanted a career change that promoted health and wellness - and massage therapy has proven to be a great fit. 
          I graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy (now Cortiva) in August, 2001. I also completed an intensive course in Myofascial Therapy as well as numerous continuing education courses in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy and other therapeutic techniques. I recently enhanced my skills with CranioSacral Therapy training, a non-invasive, light-touch approah which gently reduces tensions in the cranium (skull) and central nervous system.
         I consider each client to be unique and believe we work as a team to improve health. We work together to ease pain, improve muscle mobility and function, and enhance relaxation. My approach to massage focuses primarily on myofascial techniques - using slow sustained engagement to melt muscle and connective tissue which results in improved function and decreased pain. I use a combination of modalities to achieve results, including myofascial, neutomuscular, deep tissue, and craniosacral therapies as well as traditional Swedish massage. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of working with clients to improve their well being. 
Karen works Monday-Wednesday and Friday 8am-12:30pm


Christine 

I am a nationally certified and State of Illinois licensed Massage Therapist. I have a passion for holistic care and I am privileged to be a part of Dr. Sargent’s full care team which allows me to grow my passions. I specialize and am certified in Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy and Pre Natal Massage. I have also received special training in Pelvic and Whiplash massage.
Christine works Tuesday & Thursday 4-6:30pm
Friday 2:50-5pm
Every Other Saturday 8am-11:30am
