Reed Chiropractic is NCQA Certified NCQA is the National Committee of Quality Assurance; status was obtained to function as a PCP (primary care provider) and the first portal of entry for all patients where specially trained chiropractic physicians evaluated the health care status of patients and used alternative medicine to treat when applicable. Referral to medical doctors occurred when the patients' needs were better addressed by allopathic medicine. In a peer-reviewed journal, the outcome of a two-year study was published: "These outcomes merit further research into the role a chiropractic physician could provide to improve health care delivery."

The following results were obtained:
  • Hospital admissions/1000 were reduced by 56.8%
  • Hospital days/1000 were reduced by 73.2%
  • OP surgical cases/1000 were reduced by 67.8%
  • Average length of stay was reduced by 32%
  • Pharmaceutical usage was reduced by 51.8%

As a founding member of Alternative Medicine Integration, I would like to personally thank Blue Cross/Blue Shield HMO and Richard Sarnat, MD for their innovative foresight in providing this opportunity.
