Aloha and Welcome
Aim for balance: Holistic health means taking care of the body as a whole. Your physical, nutritional and emotional self makes up the whole you
In our busy and hectic lives we find that the only time we stop to take a breath is when our body forces us to...when we get sick! We can all agree that health and wellness is essential to living a happy and fulfilling life. Even in this fast-paced world, we still can be able to take care of ourselves and those we love in a healthy, natural way.
Knowledge is power. Learning about your body is the first step. Second is learning to take care of your body. What is the best way to take of your body? Naturally. If you're unfamiliar with natural wellness, you can learn quickly. Taking care of your body as a whole (holisticly) is critical. We look at it in three basic parts : physical, emotional, and nutritional. Learn to hear what your body is telling you, then listen. What is Holistic Health?
Taking care of the being as a whole. Why? Everything is connected. The heart is connected to the gallbladder, which is connected to the kidneys, which is connected to your pancreas which is connected to your emotions and is connected to how you relate to your mate which in turn is connected to how you sleep at night and ultimately leads to how you perform the next day…and so on. Get the point?
Every thing is connected.
In allopathic or western medicine, you are taught that your head is your head and your body is your body, both separate entities. This is simply not the case. If you are not feeling good physically (body), there is surely something going on emotionally (head or mind) that is corresponding to that feeling, and vice versa.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Which came first? The uneasiness in your head, which led to an imbalance in your body, or an imbalance in your body which led to uneasiness in your head? I don’t know. It doesn’t really matter, because in the scheme of it all, it goes full circle and comes back around again. It is all connected.
Where to get started? Find people you trust.
Take care of your body as a whole. Visit holistic health practitioners such as: chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, nutritional counselors, massage therapist, etc. Many do not have the time to go to school and learn about how the body works holistically, but these practitioners did. The visit may cost you a few extra dollars but you will be benefiting from the years of education and experience they will share with you. You will learn the beginnings of viewing your being as a whole.
Be patient.
You will not learn everything at once, and when healing yourself holistically, you may not see immediate results. Results will move at the same pace as your belief. The more you learn and believe, the more you’ll understand and heal.
Don’t believe? Give it a chance, you might be surprised.
